Jasmine Whitbread, the head of the charity “Save the Children International” preaches the idea that “wanting to do good” is not enough. She goes on to describe that for the business to be successful, they must be efficient and cannot afford to be sloppy by just trying to do the right thing. She has started to revolutionize charity organizations by emphasizing the economic case for charity work. Focusing on the fact that many of these countries are emerging markets, and that this is something that “business people can relate to”.
Jasmine Whitbread is taking charity organizations in the right direction by making them more impartial and professional. “Save the Children International” helped over 125 million children in 2011 with an increase in expenditure by 10%.
