Dave and I continue our conversation with Reid and Ben about technology society and economics. At this point we move from telecommuting into everyone’s favorite subject, Social Media. We ask the question:
‘Should those providers of social media/experiences be held accountable for any negative societal contagion effects that their products/productions produce?’
As you can imagine it turns into a rather lively debate as we touch upon the 1st Amendment and the producers associated rights. We also take a turn at our friends at Facebook and all the current discussions on Anti-Trust legislations and the possible role of government regulation.
It’s a tough topic to understand and a conversation I’m sure we’re going to come back to time and time again.
